DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS started back in 1996 working with Tom Holland on Stephen King's "Thinner" Tom was the director of my two favorite horror films , ("Fright Night," and "Child's Play") we started to go over some of his ideas and I had a few as well as far as what his plant creatures should look like.

When it was at Universal Pictures I started doing a presentation for him on the possibilities of the monsters that he can have in his film, So I went about designing and actually sculpting as well as constructing a full size model for Tom. Which he has to this day. The project has since then died but maybe someday it will rise from the dead.

I feel a film of this kind and the CGI that can be done today is a must for this film to see the light of day.
