Stephen King's The Langoliers

I was called by a company called Image Works in New York City, to come up with a concept for a top secret project, as the receptionist over the phone called it. It was this ball with teeth she says but she cant give out details. My response was “Oh you must be talking about Stephen Kings The Langoliers” There was a long pause over the phone to my response and she says? How did you know? I said cause I read the book.

Weird thing is I did read it as a book on tape while working at Kevin Yeahgers years before this very phone call. So here I am I sculpting this little machete I bring it over to there office and there all really impressed so I get the Job. I did two more machete's for them the final one for CGI scans and reference as well as development conversation piece for director Tom Holland to get an idea how his effects shots would be accomplished.

The final model had over 300 hundred clear resin teeth each made to come out super clear, as well as clean and sharp as possible. So each tooth had to be sharpened with a dremel to a razor sharp point. Contributing artist and assistance was from crew members and artists Louie Zakarian and Joe Macchia.
